Public approves arrival of Proximo Games in Brazil
More than eighty people attended to the opening of the company´s first store in Curitiba that promises to boost the videogame market in Latin America
Proximo Games came to Brazil to stay. The family atmosphere, comfort and specialized care, all this added to the latest releases in the videogame market and to the new concept in electronic entertainment, made a successful opening ceremony for Proximo Games in Curitiba, Brazil.
The opening event brought more than 80 people ages from 11 to 40 to the store and held a great celebration with the sound of DJ Thiago Karas from 91FM Radio Rock. The publicist Márcio Sartor, 30, was pleased with what he saw at Proximo Games and said he had never seen a place like that in Brazil. "When I came in, it seemed like I was in one of those North American gaming stores. Here I found the best products for great prices. The opening of this store is a proof that the market is already aware of the problems that piracy and smuggling bring to our society, "said Sartor.
The Student Gabriel Zarpelon Oldakoski, age 10, was impressed with the Samsung WCG Gaming Zones, "Wow, I think that was pretty cool, but certainly the best of all were the gaming rooms. I had a great time here and will come back often, "said the boy.
According to Kevin Baqai, Executive Director of Proximo Games in Brazil, this is only the first step company gives in Latin America. At the store opening in Curitiba, on Wednesday (23/12), hosted the first PES 2010 Tournament on Playstation 3. The winner of R$ 500 in products was Yves Navarro, who beat Rubens Lago Junior on the final game for 2 to 1. Rubens won R$ 200 for second place and Felipe Thomasi R$ 100.
